Canon 50D vs 7D vs 5D markII

Just did it! I sucked it up and dished it out and bought a new camera!

I been using a rebel xti since it first came out

but it has served its purpose to me well and like most things i do, people dont believe most the time when i tell them what i used...

i like using basic stuff to make great stuff...

but it is on it's last limb and i am going to North Carolina in a week and felt i didnt want to disappoint ppl standing there if my camera decides to fail... u know how electronics are LOL

So i bought the Canon 50D with the 28 - 135 mm kit...

it feels so nice and beefy compared to my xti.

my true love was to get Canon 7d or Canon 5d Mark II, but for some reason having HD video capability doesnt make me too excited... maybe cuz I havent used a photo/video/camera yet...

Canon has yet to bridge the gap B/T 50D and 7D and I coulnt wait any longer...

I never really cared to watch people compete for physical greatness for anything...

wheter its football, baseball, Olympics...

I would rather root for the "Special Olympics" participants because its a real acheivement, but for regular people, its just another way to say "Im Awesome" and pat themselves on the back...

Sports figures are over glorified individuals that do the same thing the other person does with nothing to add to the real problems and realities of life.

Over payed self indulgent hypocrits. IF there are so much hardships that are happening in the world, why still hold these spectacles & take whatever money they were supposed to use for that, take it and maybe help the countries with people dying? maybe?

Oh no I forgot its about making money, not giving it to people who need it... thast's right... and then they will send a check for like .05% of what they make and call it a charity, I call it pitty.

To some making it to the front page of a zivit site isn't the biggest deal. To be honest though, to me and where my photography career is currently heading, this is a major stepping stone and really makes me proud of what I have been doing.

I am pretty sure there is always a time an artist feels like giving up and as though nothing is workng out for them (for me its everyday), so when I am given this opportunity and a chance to get my work viewed in such a way it makes me whole again and proud of myself.

I have to say though, I cant take all the credit for this (to me) Big acheivement.

I could not have done it without the hard work and dedication from Asphyxia, which lets agree poeple, without her this set wouldn't have been so friggin

Awesome (& "FUCK YEAH" HOT!)!

Surgery tomorrow. Im getting my metal legs installed!

Ok maybe im NOT really getting metal legs, but I do have to go to surgery. In my opinion nothing to dreadfully serious, but I am sure that anytime you get under the knife it shouldnt be taken with a grain of salt. I will keep everyone posted. I will post a photo of my ugly mug up here to show everyone how I am doing. Well wish me luck and see you all soon. I promise to get back into tip top shape as soon as I can so I can continue posting more great shots! I have big plans for 2010 and hopefully this wont hinder that progress too much. It shouldnt deter me way for more then a week.

Yea well, maybe im going soft on you all but this is the kinda sorta thing that if you dont have a reaction to, only proves you are less human then you act to be.

When I signed into zivity i just thought Oh hey its just another really great set photographed by an amazing photographer and modeled by another wickedly amazing model.

To my delight it was, but it had more to it. It had reality. It had an essence of sheer fear, love, hate, joy, sadness and any kind of emotion you can probably feel, all bundled into a compilation of photos and text.

It captured life, in essence. So powerful.

I mentioned this on Conan's page, well you know that feeling you get, like that warm buzzy itching in your nose from trying to hold back emotion and some waterworks? well yea lets just say I left the faucet running for a lil while there.

Such a doubly impacting set, you feel to reach out. I voted. I wish I was able to afford more. So please, I simply ask that you at least join and support the cause!

We only find how fragile we really are inside, when we are encountered by the reality of our ability to see, how easily we can be broken.

I rarely ever open up to people, and when I do for some reason I spill my guts all over the floor. I make such a mess of myself that I dont even bother to clean it up and grovel and squirm in my own pool of thoughts, feelings, emotions and expectations.

Then again, when does one find someone who fits them so perfectly, that you would drop everything, drop everything and just run away with them. Where every embrace takes all the whirlwinds of your life, takes every longing, takes everything you wanted, and makes your world feel totally clear again.

Like sunshine peering through leaves after a storm and your walking head high again, BUT for some reason, I take that as a negative and a positive. I Long for those moments, but these are the moments that define how deep we fall for that someone, and how much deeper we fall when it is no longer there.

Though I have been hurt many times before. I never let that deflect me from allowing someone to enter again. Not when they are beautiful. The kind of beauty that makes you wonder where they have been your whole life, and when they openly admit the same tinkering in their minds, you just fly head over heels!

I guess this is my way of saying I have met someone that I know will never leave my mind, and possibly my heart (however cold and black it is lol)

I want them to know that no matter how far they may be from me, and how long it is from the last time we spoke, they will be remembered and missed entirely!

p.s. There will always be variables that will try to obstruct and prevent any and all possibilty for furtherting any kind of a friendship or relationship. Those are the times where you have to decide who is being most truthful, honest and caring of the person who most matters in your life, which is YOU!

Yea, I only gave that website a spin to see what it was about, it seemed cool at first you know the same companies doing the same thing, naked ladies it was cool because all, well mostly all the models, I am friends with and communicate with often.

So I joined. Then I started learning about all the drama attached to the site and how the site was slowly turning into some hardcore porn thing, which I don't shy away from, but there always has to be some professionality in business.

Then came time to submit my first set(today) when THIS happend.

I communicated my issues with the site owner and BOOM!

(Just a little background once you read and learn. the individual masked as someoen named "Dragon" is the "Owner")

WOW I am more then appalled at how the OWNER of thsi damn site handled himself and his content driving staff!

SO judging by my brief and useless time as a staff photographer for this website I BEG OF YOU! DONT JOIN and DONT GET NAKED for $30!!! DONT sell yourself short in life for pathetic unethical people such as this!!

Arrested for taking photographs of a car accident?

I was taking photos of a motorcycle car crash. the police officer told me to stop i still....

I was taking photos of a motorcycle car crash. the police officer told me to stop i still shot disregarding him.

he then threatened to arrest me, i said i would love to see him try, knowing my "rights" to photograph stuff outdoors.

then i was later confronted menacingly by two i think captains, or crime scene investigators, and i was on the phone with a friend discussing the issue similar to the even depicted here, they then figured they would barricade me INTo the crime scene by adding caution tape around the area i was in, IN FRONT OF MY JOB and stated i couldnt stay there had to leave stop taking pictures or i woudl get arrested. i wanted to so bad to get arrested, but i felt it wasnt worth while. i snappe done last pic as i was walking away LOL

question CAn i post these pictures, and was I wrong for taking pics or was supported by any photograpehgr rights, because once i stated i had rights as a photographer there conduct quickyl changed from menacing to uneasy and started to barricade me. this was is east meadow NY

this just happened one hour ago.. so obviously they didnt arrest me, just made my life difficult HAHA

So where are our RIGHTS protected!

Ok. The controversy continues...

I remember about 8 years ago or so, i was a wee little man, and i stumbled on some HBO Specials. As part of these "SPECIALS" was a documentary and kind of a worldwide

marketing/promotional Video From Suicide Girls. Ever since seeing that Video, I FELL IN LOVE!! like hoenstly i even made a shirt that said I <3>

Right about the time i decided to start submitting sets, i noticed a whole barrage of FREE LITHIUM PICNIC posters and an entire website dedicated to the whole Philip Warner/Lithium Picnic & Apnea situation. As far as that goes i am very useless as any kind of source in regards to the exact situation, BUT i recently stumbled on a very good source(as far as the internets go) for clearing up some of the "DRAMA" attached to that.

I have to say i am quite appalled as to the type of ethics attached to a company like Suicide Girls. The more I delve into researching their company policies and strategies the more I want to puke!!!!!

DragonSitting... My Nephew

Hey all, I am Dragonsitting for this week. Joey needed someone to sit Fluffy ( the sexiest Bearded ever) and given that I LOVE Lizards especially any Dragon, and i have vast ezxpereince caring raising and breeding them, it was obvious who was the one to take charge of the (not so)little one =)

Day 1
Yes Iwas able to ft a 30gal L in my mustang, TOLD YA SO JOEY!
Took Fluffy about 3 -4 hours to finally adjus to his new surrounding, i tried mimmicking his tank setup best as possible from his home with his momma. Once i gave him a little cricket treat he warmed up to the idea and he was back on his perch =). Im going to Stop n Shop niw to buy the appropriate food selections for him as prescribed by his momma. Off to the Market now....

Day 2
Hes doing much better he started perching on his half log and enjoying some rays LOL
He is adjusting quite well, Sorry Joey he loves me more now HAHA he wasnt eating hsi salad so i had to point ihim in the rght direction again by feeding his favorite freeze drird cricket treat ( only 1 by his salad dish ). once by his dish he took notice of the nice salad i made for him =) he seems to know who i am because he isnt as jumpy whem im around but if anyone new is there he starts to get all fidgetty. I gave him his first bath, he seemed confused at first, but then i guess he realized i wasnt going to cook him. p.s. looked like he been holding that shit (literally) in for a while LOL

Day 3
Got up, poured some orange juice, and made some toast, tdiced up his salad and fed him a raspebrry. he seems to enjoy my salads very much =) Ill be going to get some nice silkworms for him on my way back home from work today.

Well being that I am a geek, any kind of gear or electronics device will give me a woodie, i decided to buy some new photo gear!

Got me my first MANFROTTO Stand, and it was a necessary buy. A Boom / Hair Light Stand and a few extra goodies.

Using makeshift boom arms is dangerous to My models health and hysical well being, as Hell Kitten found out one day when it kinda bumoed her on the head on its way down. Its ok No Models were harmed during the process of any shoot hehe

Orphan Movie Poster

Something about this Orphan Movie Poster really grabbed me. it seemed to really capture the character that little girl has set out to play. Its evil, as well as innocent and sort of arrogant and sneaky. It also is very symmetrical, maybe TOO symmetrical, so i felt i wanted to give myself a challenge, in recreating this poster. Its was more of a reverse engineering lighting test. I was very happy and pleasantly surprised with the results, given the fact i didn't have all the tools i thought i needed. here is the Final Product from the shoot with my really good friend and equally talented as she is Beautiful, Agnosia.

Here is the Run down on the lighting. I will post either a snapshot of the lighting setup or a 2d rendering of the lighting placement

Main/key light was my trusty Canon 580exii barebuld with paper as diffusion on boom arm directly above and a few degrees forward of Agnosia. 48 inch white reflector used for fill from below and equally distant from Agnosia and behind about 1.5 feet for edge lights were 2 160w/s monolights with 30" Umbrellas for nice soft spread but less harsh edge lighting.

Hey guys. I am getting so anxious to see my sets get published. They are really awesome sets to and are scheduled to be up around September/October. Even though I am given these publish dates seem to be checking every day to see if they were published LOL I guess I needed a reason in life again =D
